[For a moment he's frozen and terrified and furious, already planning out how to track down whoever kidnapped his friend and kill them stone dead. Then the next message comes and all the rage drains out of him and he gives a relieved little laugh, slumping against the mast of his ship.
There are so many things he wants to ask. But he doesn't trust even a private line, so:]
Are you both safe? Is there anything that you need? How is she doing right now, besides still sleeping? What happened that you're in hiding?
[Thank god, Ritsuka's friends so far get it- she doesn't say, but thinks with every fiber of her being.
Dragging her hands down her face before picking the phone back up to reply, she weighs mentally how much to say about 'safety' and 'status' again before replying.]
Safe
Hidden and safe
Found her after an attack [Is what she finally sends, and she waits with baited breath and a grimace from there.
But she can't let herself sleep yet, she needs to make sure Ritsuka stays stable, that there isn't anyone else being left on 'unread' with worry...
....
they need supplies....]
Y
[...but if she says 'Hyrule', what if even that's too much?]
I can't leave yet
[It doesn't matter if it's a drop-off point, she can't gett to the drop-off. She needs to be sure Ritsuka is protected, she thinks with a groan, but Ritsuka can't even be awake to manage emergency contact if left alone.]
[Oh god, if Ritsuka’s been attacked and there’s only one person to keep an eye on her then she’s still in danger. Edward swallows the lump of fear that’s lodged in his throat, but it simply hits the bottom of his stomach as a leaden weight.]

No way that last one is going over well.]

Good. Stay safe and stay hidden. Don’t go anywhere until the danger has passed. We’ll take care of things from here.
Is there anything at all you need? Just tell me where to drop it off—not your hideaway, I don’t trust this app.

Now. This is a catch 22. If she says Yes, people know, obviously, if she says No, that's a LIE, actually, and they really need help..!
They can probably coast it out another day right? The dog is here, Ritsuka's Leafeon, Paisley...
Oh hey loophole-]
I'm never alone
[Hahaaa yeah, that's perfect, even kind of cool-
....fuck no it isn't she's just cringe AUUUUUGH-]

Good. I need to take care of a few things first. [He needs to go help get Wolfwood out. That’s his coworker, after all.] Stay safe, the both of you.

Well. Sigh of relief and all.]
Thank you.
[She. Cannot wait. To get back to Tartarus to stab something.]
